I don't know about this specific example, but I would not be surprised if it would be the case.
It happens quite often that an article is published post-mortem.
You have the exemple in this article (after) where André Seyrig was murdered in 1944, and he co-published an article in 2003

Rousse P., Villemant C., Seyrig A., 2003. Ichneumonid wasp from Madagascar. VI. The genus Pristomerus (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Cremastinae). European Journal of Taxonomy. 49:1-38.

For the little story, it's because the first author discovered in the archives of the Museum of Paris drafts from André Seyrig where the article was well advanced. He completed it and finished it, so he wanted to honor André Seyrig in his paper

for this species, Titan database gives the full reference : VILLIERS André, 1985.Observations sur les Methiini africains (Coleoptera Cerambycidae Cerambycinae). Bulletin de l'Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire, Dakar, 44, série A (1-2) [1982]: 146-152. 31 juillet 1985
