Not sure abaout this genus... Aglaoschema have opaque dull elytra. Here the surface is punctate, somewhat vermiculate or rugouse with black tomentum, but the integuments remain brillant.
Compsocerus parviscopus Burmeister, 1865. By the way the author has choosen a name which fits very well with the features! parvus = little, poor; scopula = brush. Which designs the only species of the genus with reduced or absent tufts of hairs on the 6th segment.
