I need some help to understand differences between Rhaphuma illicata Holzschuh, 1991 ( holotype picture here . On the same page, the picture by M.Lin show a ...R. clermonti ) & Rhaphuma clermonti Pic, 1927 (holotype picture here ).
So, I wonder if the R.illicata could be a variation of R.clermonti..

| R. clermonti diffère pour une bande large, en forme de U au dessous du milieu des élytres (chez la nouvelle espèce cela est beaucoup plus étroite et en forme de V), et 4 taches sur le pronotum. |

1 & 2 . Spécimens du nord-est Laos ( sur d'autres spécimens que j'ai en collection, les dessins sont presque totalement effacés )
3. Rhaphuma clermonti Pic, 1927 HT
4. Rhaphuma illicata Holzschuh, 1991 HT
Rhaphuma clermonti & Rhaphuma illicata occupent bien sûr la même zone biogéographique.
Je suis incapable de commenter ce degré de différence subtile. |
