At first sight it looks like Porithodes sp.

Here is another specimen. I knew only the genus.
Now I would say it is Porithodes spinipennis Carter, 1929
I have quite a few more Australian specimens to be identified eventually.

I don't have the book by Slipinski and Escalona. Nor do I have much literature about Australian species.

If you are able to find names based on that book, please say so. Or, if you have other references, then please say so.

I have Slipinsky & Escalona Volume 1, and Volume 2 should arrive by mail soon.

I have this book and I can see the holotype of Porithodes spinipennis Carter, 1929 page 556.
It is effectively the insect of Dan.
