Loc: Kerala; Size: approx. 4.5 mm...I suppose this should be one of Desmiphorini...I could find similarity with that of genus Sphigmothorax...any help on the identity?

Breuning in his 1975 revision mention that the genus Soupha is recognized by "scape not very long and weak, densely granulated on its dorsal surface, the third article a little shorter than the fourth, as long as the scape" (apart from other characters).

I realized that, the specimen posted above and the one here are one another same and definitely agrees with respect to character of scape and third antennomere of Soupha.

However, such typical character is not mentioned for Falsoserixia. So I believe these specimens should belong to the genus Soupha and might represent a new species. Opinions on this are most welcome
