Good morning,

Recently, Gino Nearns asked me if I knew how many New World genera of Cerambycidae (& the related families) there were.
I did not, but suggested he could see them all in the index at the end of my checklist.

He cut and pasted them into a spreadsheet and came up with the number.

I thought it might be interesting to see how many species (including subspecies) there were, so I did the same for the entire checklist.
After a few days of deleting lines, I came up with the following:

Oxypeltidae 3
Vesperidae 27
Disteniidae 189

Cerambycidae
Parandrinae 48
Prioninae 381
Lepturinae 393
Spondylidinae 44
Necydalinae 70
Cerambycinae 4,898
Lamiinae 5,233

Species 11,286

Genera 1,962
