Morning All, your opinion please:
When comparing this specimen with the holotype of Afromolorchus capensis Tippmann, 1959, and specimens in our collection, we note a difference in the markings on the elytra. This difference tends to also be apparent in the males compared to the un-described males of A. capensis.
Would one consider this as a sp.nov., or sub-species?

To me - beside the fact that both the holotype and your displayed specimen have a very faint coloration - it could be just a color variation...
Do you see any morphological differences?

Can you share the pictures of the other similar specimens if you have ?
