I caught quite peculiar Purpuricenus in Mugla (near Marmaris) last may.
It`s small male (12 mm), without erect setae on pronotal disc and with high degree of black pattern. Apparently it must be a P. intescapillatus nudicollis Demelt, 1968

Hi Max, for me it is Purpuricenus interscapillatus ssp. nudicollis Demelt, 1968. It is unusual for the large extension of the black color.

Thanks! I had no other idea too. This beetle really some strange, small and melanistic.
