the result of a 4-year research and part of my doctoral thesis is finally printed!

Hai ragione: é un Ropalopus femoratus. 
Vitali (2018g): Fig. 30
Vedo che questo errore di copia-incolla era presente anche nella prima versione, ma non nella tesi di dottorato, dove tutte le figure delle specie mancavano.
Nel Ferrantia sono state aggiunte le figure dell'introduzione ed eliminate le didascalie della fenologia dei vari cantoni, col risultato di dover cambiare la numerotazione, nel testo e nelle didascalie, di quasi 350 figure. Qualcosa è sfuggito...
Lo correggeremo nella seconda edizione.
D'altra parte il testo è stato terminato alla fine del 2015. In realtà anche la tassonomia ha qualche lavoro recente da inserire.
Nella tesi, per esempio, consideravo valida la sottospecie Chlorophorus glabromaculatus webbi, perché l'identità di glaucus mi sembrava più che dubbia in base alla bibliografia; poi qualcuno ha scritto di aver verificato il tipo. |

Questo nulla toglie alla validità del tuo lavoro! Però insisto che la foto è di varini e non femoratus (guarda le spine sugli articoli delle antenne, la forma del pronoto "esagonale" e la punteggiatura delle elitre).

Uh!  Ieri pomeriggio ho avuto modo di controllare l'esemplare e devo darti ragione: si tratta proprio di Ropalopus varini!
Bien vu!
Si trattava di un'identificazione fatta da Mousset che non ho verificato bene... colpa mia.
Dunque: prima segnalazione per il Lussemburgo!
Questa specie è da aggiungere alla fauna, poiché abbiamo altri due vecchi esemplari di Ropalopus che, ricontrollati, sono effettivamente dei femoratus.
Mi pare debba ancora controllare una collezione privata per verificare se femoratus é stato ancora segnalato dopo la prima guerra mondiale.
A questo punto, articolo da fare, cartine da modificare e analisi faunistica da rielaborare.
Ho fatto anche le foto con stacking ad alta definizione di tutti gli esemplari che abbiamo.
