I have come across to the HT and PT of Zamium villosum Corinta Ferreira, 1955, but can not find any reference to it. Does anyone have a reference and or PDF to the publication? Is this a valid species? |

I haven't found any trace of this species, but I'm missing a publication. |

Thanks Gerard, I am also missing one 1855 publication, but do not find any mention of this species in the Coleoptera catalogues published by Corinta Ferreira or Veiga Ferreira. |

Riana, I have looked closer at your photo. I have not yet seen the publication, but if your photo is of one of the type specimens, my immediate reaction is that this is definitely not a Zamium. It has to be a Hesperophanini, and then belonging to the genus Garnierius. To be more specific: If my suspicion is correct I would say the specimen in your photo is identical to Garnierius werneri Adlbauer, 2002. If so, then Adlbauer's name is a junior synonym and the correct name should therefore be: Garnierius villosus (Corinta Ferreira, 1955). |

Hi Anders, Yes I did get the Paper on Derolus and have sent out PDFs, thanks for your offer. On the question of this specimen, I agree, I also had the feeling that this is Garnierius werneri and thus the reason for the search for the publication. It does seem that Zamium villosum Corinta Ferreira, 1955 was never published (or at-least I can not find any publication mentioning it ....) |
