When visiting Budapest I saw this longhorn beetle laying eggs in a large, dead beech trunk (date 110707). Very close to Hotel Normafa.
She was appr 40 mm long.
Can anyone tell me the species?

Hi Tommy, welcome to the Forum!
This is another Aegosoma scabricorne, the female of the species you photographed in Romania.
Uncommon species.
