Yes, it could be; difference with Lachnopterus auripennis (Newman, 1842) is unclear for me. |

I am not sure and not confident with my observation, but I think the difference is the color of the elytra? |

Following Francesco, L. auripennis should have less ridge, almost absent, on pronotum. This one should be L. socius. I haven't males of both species to compare genitalia. |
