mmmhm... Cleptometopus should have the upper eyes lobes completely missing.
With that pronotum as wide as elytral base, it should be Anandra capriciosa Thomson, 1864.
This species should be 15-20 mm long.

Francesco, Gerard, thank you so much for your help with all my Maliau photos, it is very much appreciated.

I can not find much information about this species, nor any reference to it on this site. Is it unusual?

I have a b&w picture of the type in Breuning's monograph; I will scan this photocopy, but it is not very well definite. The description is in German.
Aurivillius, 1916 described here at the page 21 (in Latin!) the variety niveoplagiata.
I will look for further papers.
