All of my C. sexmaculatus have white ( or very slightly yellowish-white) pubescence. The distance between the pubescent areas on the pronotum is one feature that is usually consistent among the species in Borneo.
For C. elongatus, the white areas on the pronotum are usually very close together, and again, the pubescence is whitish, not tinted orange.
But Cereopsius is a tough group. Just look at the variation in Philippine specimens. From Borneo, I have possibly 3 new species of Cereopsius, but not enough material to really know what is going on.
