I am going to call it S. hemipterus for now, unless somebody has other thoughts. The recent papers on Scalenus were completed without studying a large sample of specimens. For instance, my Bornean specimens of some species show color variations which make identification impossible.

Most likely a male of Scalenus pseudosericeus Jiroux, Haller & Bentanachs, 2019. (cf Cahiers Magellanes N.S. No.34). HT from South Vietnam, Bao Lam Distr., Lam Dong Province, Dambri env., and the PT from Lam Dong Prov., Bao Loc. - Yes, coloration is highly variable.
Your specimen is showing a similar elytral colour, and the same darkened legs than the paratype. Ventrally it should be dark, abdomen with blueish highlights.
Genitalia must be examined in order to fix the question but in my opinion, pseudosericeus is the good identification.
