The genus Paratragon was created by Teocchi & Sudre, 2002. If you look for this genus in Titan database you are led to the tribe Petrognathini where the only listed species is P. jadoti Teocchi & Sudre, 2002. But below under type species for the genus Paratragon is given Poimenesperus tragonoides Lepesme, 1953 (= Phryneta lugens White, 1858).
However, if you search for Poimenesperus tragonoides you are led to the Tragocephalini where you are told this is a synonym of Paratragon lugens (White, 1858). So the genus Paratragon has two species: one in the Petrognathini and one in the Tragocephalini. Sounds like an unsatisfactory solution to me. But there might be a reason which I just don't see? Happy if somebody can enlighten me.
