After some inquiries from colleagues, I would like to announce some synonyms here to prevent further confusion.
At the moment I don't have the time and, above all, the inclination to officially respond. Perhaps the authors will be prompted to clarify this.
In this way, the beautiful and exciting tribe of Callichromatini will end in chaos. Also the cited species or genera with which the authors compare their described species are in part incomprehensible.
The following comments are subjective. Numerous figures of the types of individual named species can be viewed on well-known websites. Everyone should make up their own mind. I will not go into numerous other synonyms, especially in the genus Chloridolum, from older works. In any case, this approach makes it impossible to work through this very difficult genus.

Juhelia vietnamica Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024 = Aphrodisium convexicolle Gressitt & Rondon, 1970

Drouinia paradisi Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024 = Aphrodisium rufofemoratum Gressitt & Rondon, 1970

Pseudochelidonium sabahense Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024 = Pseudochelidonium unonotaticolle (Hüdepohl, 1998)

Cataphrodisium laosense Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024 = Aphrodisium schoenmanni (Skale & Weigel, 2017)

Chloridolum halleri Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024 = Chloridolum melanaspis Pascoe, 1869

Chloridolum phanense Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024 = Chloridolum vittatum (Pic, 1925)

Mimochelidonium splendidum Bentanachs & Jiroux, 2024:
Mimochelidonium ????
Unbelievable! Bentanach describes this genus!
This species has nothing to do with Mimochelidonium.
Vives 2022 describes Chewchroma kalimantanum after a specimen from Kalimantan. This specimen is very similar to the one described in Bentanachs & Jiroux. I have numerous specimens of this species from Vietnam, but also from Malaysia and Sumatra. So I suspect a synonymy here as well. On the other hand, this species is a clear Polyzonus for me!

That is the next problem. If anything, you get corrections! If you now want to quote something from the work in a publication, you are not sure whether you are giving the correct page numbers. This is impossible, especially for those who make their research available to everyone in order to advance ideas.

Dear Andre
I'm not going to get involved in a war that doesn't interest me. It's not the first time you've written derogatory comments about other members of the forum. Respect for the opinions of others is essential!!
I think the forum administrators should do something about this.
I'm just going to give an example of these synonyms that I don't agree with.
Pseudochelidonium sabahense

Pseudochelidonium unonotaticolle Hudep.

My modest opinion is that things can be said in many ways, always with respect and with the purpose of collaborating or improving a previous fact.
If there are different points of view between various authors, it would be ideal if they wrote to each other privately and reached an agreement or conclusion regarding the subject discussed, and I repeat, always with respect and education.
On the other hand, it would be interesting if the authors began to work with molecular genetics to support their taxonomic conclusions. Unfortunately, times change and we must go with the progress!!
