No, si tratta di Rosenbergia rufolineata von Breuning, 1948, sempre della Nuova Guinea.
Rosenbergia straussi è una specie abbastanza diversa, come lo specialista (e membro di questo forum) Carlo Arrigo Casadio ha potuto dimostrare in seguito all'esame dei tipi.
