Even with the paper „The Longhorn Beetles of the Philippines Part II“, Hüdepohl 1990 on hand, considering the pronotum sculpture, antennae length and uniform pubescence in elytra, I almost come to Imbrius corrugatus. But I have doubts because antennae are not swollen. Although it is written in the species description, that “segment 3~5 weakly swollen“ in females, I would say these are not swollen at all. Can this beetle be a female of Imbrius corrugatus?
Beetle from North Luzon, measures 19 mm. |

I think yes. The same species is also figured here, erroneously identified as Dymasius ysmaeli. Original Hüdepohl's description is very difficult to understand; in particular, the spotted pronotal pattern (apparently? visible in the holotype) is not mentioned either and the pubescence throughout body is simplistic defined as "yellow". Your species belongs to Imbrius and is not similis... without having a pair, corrugatus is for the time being the only possibility. |
