Cordylomera spinicornis from Cameroon; the typical look for this species.

Another male, also from Cameroon.
Brighter colours and flashy red legs. Is this also a spinicornis, or some (doubtful) subspecies?

It always is the same species.
It remains some taxonomic problems concerning some forms, which some authors consider subspecies. The name of several varieties might be changed as well...

That was my guess. It's always the same problem when simple colour variations become immediately a new taxon.
It seems that African beetles are particularly exposed to this tendency ...
