I found this 1 inch long beetle in a forest in Selangor, Malaysia.
Pterolophia Hylobrotus (?)
Help on ID appreciated

...maybe it is better to search among Choeromorpha (Mesosini)...

It might be Choeromorpha (s. str.) vivesi Breuning, 1978.
There is another specimens in the Forum here.

The first one... eggs are normally white.
