The spec. is from the Molukken, Bacan Isl. and ca. 2 cm. These were some of my many undetermined Cerambycidae. Perhaps can help me somebody in the determination. Sorry for the bad photos and many thanks for your help. Best wishes, Andre
Difficult to say... this species is characterised by a dense golden pubescence (this insect seems to be greased), head squared, vertex unpunctuated, scape narrow basally and enlarged apically, elytra apically rounded... but you certainly know my paper on Wallacea... This specimen is surely con-specific with that figured in this paper and with another of my collection coming from Irian Jaya (tomorrow I will insert the picture). Nonetheless, the fact that another specimen has been collected in Java (p. 75. Fig. 98) lets me think that this species might have another name (as maybe the type of ternatensis, described from a single very small specimen).
