Posted - 30/12/2017 : 20:20:03 Thanks a lot Dan, nice work. I hesitate for my beast. The drawing of the thorax does not match Pascoetrephus klimenkoi but Pascoetrephus ranongensis (Holzschuh, 2009). Did you this species? Is the locality of Holzschuh there? |

The differences in the species of Pascoetrephus are not large. You should check your specimen carefully. I am not going to study my specimend for some time, since I am very busy with work and other projects. |

Posted - 30/12/2017 : 13:53:00 I believe that Gerard's photo at top is Pascoetrephus klimenkoi Miroshnikov, 2017 (male)
My photo at bottom is Pascoetrephus hefferni Miroshnikov, 2017 (female) based on Miroshnokov's paper which was recently published. |

Posted - 23/09/2016 : 14:23:20 Yes, its Z. inscitus inscitus Pascoe, 1857 ( male). The two narrow arcuate reddish-brown streaks of tomentum on the pronotum are not always found on this species, perhaps due to rubbing.
female photo included
