Jiroux et al. (2022) have revalidated this species as Philaphrodisium (n. gen.) nikitai (Kuleshov).

This species has been recognised as a possible junior synonym of Aphrodisium semiignitum (Chevrolat, 1841).

The paper is available here.

Hello Dmitry
What is by the punctation conspicuous? In your description and by the picture I cannot see a dubious puncture.
How is the puncture in the HT from A. semignitum or A. luzonicum???
How many exactly determined Ex. you have seen from this species, or is basis from your determination several pictures from the internet?
Might be is A. luzonicum a synonym from A. semignitum and a very variable species???
Dmitry..... sorry..... for your first (?) description from a new Spec. by the Cerambycidae is the very difficult tribe Callichromatini not a good idea, and no good start in the taxonomy.
Also is a juv. single Ex. not a nice Ex. for a description. And when your Spec. is a male, than please show us the genital morphology.

Show me at least one instance of known species with such punctures of pronotum?

For me again simply unbelievable how people can describe new species without sufficient overview to the according group
congratulation

This species and several Callichromatini recently described from Borneo are rather questionable.

Hello Dmitry
My first question...... Is it already published ?

In your differential diagnose, the new species is compared with A. semignitum... have you seen the HT from this species??? It is also described from Luzon!
You are sure it is a male?
And for me is this ex. immature! So the yellow parts!

Sorry... for the moment I can not congratulation

Several loc. collectors from the Philippines kill the big species with gasoline... than is the metallic color mostly lost !
