Spero di non essere fastidioso ad inserire molti coleotteri da determinare, ma ho appena sistemato un lotto di cerambicidi appena preparati. Grazie in anticipo dell'aiuto. |

Thank you Francesco, according to this precision concerning eyes, and after a check, all specimens above belong to Thestus genus and they come from Malaysia. I received a couple with wrong determination (I was mistaken by the lack of antennal pubescence and very short lateral spine of pronotum) |

However, according to Breuning, the difference between Cornuscoparia (here a good picture) and Thestus is not the antennal pubescence or the mesotibial furrow (present in both genera), but the size of the eyes: more than twice as high as wide (Cornuscoparia) or much shorter (Thestus).
Moreover, Cornuscoparia is widespread in New Guinea, while Thestus in the area around the Banda see (Malaya, Indonesia, Philippines). |

yes, I see Thestus chassoti Breuning, 1973 and 4 species in Cornuscoparia genus, but no < Cornuscoparia chausoti > ... |

Even if it's exact that the look is similar, Thestus features hairs on internal side of third article of antenna and have not (or quite not visible) a notch on mesotibia (like Monochamini).
In addition the size is smaller (<> 30mm vs 50mm for Cornuscoparia)

I just find this old post, don't know if it has been solved.
So left one Baralipton severini female / Aegosomatini (Indonesia)
center: Oplatocera sp (Mitonoi ?)/ Cerambycinae - Methiini Asia
right : Cornuscoparia chausoti female / Lamiinae (Malaysia) |

Al contrario... ma preferisco una specie per volta, così ho meno imbarazzo sul titolo da mettere...
