I think you are right.
Yesterday, I tried to reach the right genus with my keys to African Xystrocerini and the particular scape ran me off the road.
Actually, this character is typical of the genus Oemodana, which is apparently different.
This species is present in Namibia and Zambia; thus, it is not strange that it reaches Mozambique as well. These small species are rarely collected and identified. |

The rough scape and dorsally furrowed antennomeres 3 + 4 are making me think Pelossus rugosiscapus (Adlbauer, 2005). It seems a bit far geographically. Does anyone know of other Pelossus with these characters? |
