I have "discovered" that Martins (1976 - Notes on Zamium and Holorusius two African cerambycid genera - Papeis Avulsos de Zoologia 30/9: 123-132) has already transferred this species to the Hesperophanini... a paper overlooked by several subsequent entomologists who treated this species.
The genus is wrongly classified in Titan Base as well.

Zamium bimaculatum (Fabricius, 1801), presently classified as Spondylidinae but probably Hesperophanini
