Here is what Parasalpinia laosensis (Gressitt & Rondon, 1970) look like. Central Vietnam, 9 and 10mm.

This species is Salpinia duffyi Villiers & Chûjô, 1966.
During a stay on the neighbouring island of Koh Kodd I was able to bring in some infested bark pieces, from which about 30 specimens of this beautiful species hatched. Here is an example of the range of variation. Also very different in size (7-14 mm).

We have P. laosensis here in Yunnan and Hainan and it is really different.

There is also the Thai species Salpinia duffyi Villiers & Chûjô, 1966, but I do not know what it looks like.
