It seems closer to Kurarua concinna Holzschuh, 1991

Here is a second specimen from the same area collected in May.

You should be right, even holotype specimen hasn't such black area on elytron.

Yes, why not, Bill. My Kurarua rubida from Thailand has no black area on elytra; and my specimens of Kurarua obscura have also same red anterior legs,...so I do not know.

Could it be Kurarua rubida Gressitt & Rondon 1970? It has the pale front legs like
my specimen does.

Kurarua sp.: may be a light form of Kurarua obscura Gressitt & Rondon, 1970.
