Dear Dr. Vitali:
How are you?
Two beetles were found in African logs, which are tiny and delicate. Can you give some clue?
Best wishes

Thanks so much. I will change my record of interceptions. I have just found how to open the old posts. I am stupid, right?

Merci Thierry, les banques de données ne sont évidement pas ajournées (maintenant oui).
C’était la vieux Zoocosmius leptis (Jordan, 1903)... en effet, ça marche mieux.

Dere leptis (Jordan, 1903)

see the revision of the genus by Bjornstad (Studies in Afrotropical Sestyrini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Cerambycinae).

this species is present in no databases...
africaone Posted - 26/03/2014 : 14:25:22

Dear Zhu Hongbin
I come back from my holidays only today.
Your insect seems to be Apiogaster kaszabi Fuchs, 1974 (Cleomenini) from Congo and Zaire.
I will add the picture I have.
