I sent this picture to Wappes in September 2013 and he said the only other possibility besides mexicana is ruatana.
He could not go further without actually seeing the specimen.
So it is either ruatana or an undescribed species. |

Wappes identified a specimen of mine from Cerro Jesus as N. ruatana, and it doesn't exactly look like the photos on Bezark's website. My specimen doesn't exactly match yours. I don't know what to tell you. Species in this tribe do have variability, and again, if you have but a single specimen, then it is really hard to get an identification unless the species is well known, or unless there is something unusual in it is morphology. By the way, I agree that it is not N. mexicana.... I have seen hundreds of them from southern Texas and they are quite different. |

Yes indeed. I compared with mexicana and ruatana, but it seems to be none of them. |
