You are right!
Actually, the head is too large for Cantharoidea.
According to your link, only 4 species of the genus Rhipsideigma Neboiss, 1984 currently occur in Madagascar. It might be possible to identify this species!

mmmhm... devo darti una "brutta" notizia: mi pare si tratti un Lycidae o un Homasilidae: il tarso è chiaramente pentamero.
