I know very well the author, Frédéric Robin.
I have shared with him his very first 15 night-collecting in French Guyane. And we had also another fifteen days session of night-collecting the following year.
His equipment is, I think, one of the best in the world. Including a long mast to call the insects from far.
He left everything he had in France mainland in order to devote the rest of his life to Guyanese Cerambycidae. He his also passionate with photography, and the result is remarkable, not to say unique.
