I came across this very handy keyboard shortcut to insert male and female symbols in the text documents...i believe many might be aware of this technique but i felt it would be useful to share...the shortcut key is, hold Alt and then press 11 to get male symbol...and hold Alt and then press 12 to get female symbol......
Alt+11=Male symbol
Alt+12=Female symbol

Thank you! I have always used 'insert symbol' and then wandered through the thousands of options in the menu hunting them - this is sure easier!!

i too faced the same problem...(may be it is not recognized by the programme that runs this website)...but this trick should work in word document or ppt without hassle...
