I have a totally black form (female) of A. sequensi from Bog Duul Mts. near Ulan Bator, and a small series of brown one's together with Max's one.

I have not seen previously absolutely black things but it's very easy to believe.
Unfortunately, the picture is not visible apex of elytra as a significant feature.

Thank you, Max!

...but are so much extensively melanistic forms of sequensi known?
Max Posted - 15/11/2014 : 18:10:24
Excuse me For me it`s more similar to sequensi too

There is two old shot - renardi & sequensi melanistic form, respectively

Francesco Posted - 15/11/2014 : 09:28:34
Elytral sides?
Xaurus Posted - 15/11/2014 : 00:32:47
I'm not sure Francesco, A. renardii is more parallel sided different to Nasa's spms.
Francesco Posted - 14/11/2014 : 22:33:20
It is a male.
Thus, it should be Anastrangalia renardii (Gebler, 1848).
Xaurus Posted - 07/11/2014 : 01:29:27
Should be Anastrangalia sequensi (Reitter, 1898)
Francesco Posted - 06/11/2014 : 12:47:24
It seems to me Anastrangalia.
Which species are present in Mongolia?
