It seems that this species does not reach Nantou...
Moreover, it seems to me a bit longer.

I'd rather say Anoplodera (Anoploderomorpha) densepunctata (Hayashi & Villiers, 1994) according to Chou (2008).

Thank you Vitali!!
These species are a very difficult to determine well.

A. izumii has metallic colour indeed.

I think Sergi's beetle corresponds well to the original description of Anoplodera (Anoploderomorpha) formosana (Matsushita, 1933) with such a dull pronotum and shiny elytra. Also the elytra width/length ratio 2.3, as one can measure from the photo.

Thanks a lot Vitali.
I don't think it is possible to go further with Sergi's picture, but if you have an ID to propose...

There was a discussion about Anoploderomorpha earlier here. Maybe this can help with Taiwan species.

I have a similar specimen from Taiwan (no posted), and I have not its name.
In Titan database, 3 species from Taiwan belong to subgenus Anoploderomorpha

- Anoplodera (Anoploderomorpha) densepunctata (Hayashi & Villiers, 1994) have semiparallel-sided elyra which is 2,55 times as long as the basal width . I don't think it could be this one.(but ??)

- Anoplodera (Anoploderomorpha) formosana (Matsushita, 1933) has got a lenght of 14 mm and elytra 2,25 times as long as the basal width.

- The last one is Anoplodera (Anoploderomorpha) izumii (Mitono & Tamanuki, 1939); 9 to 13 mm. I have a specimen which is blue.

If somebody has more informations...
