The position of these American species has been finally clarified by Bousquet & al. 2017 - Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) of Canada and Alaska: identification guide with nomenclatural, taxonomic, distributional, host-plant, and ecological data.
The position of Nakanea as subgenus has not been proved; thus, Etorofus vicarius is the current name.

This species is vicaria, but Nakanea can be accepted neither as genus nor as subgenus of Etorofus since it includes many American species (obliterata, proprinqua, plebeja) for which this combination has never been proposed either.

This species must be accepted as belonging to the genus Leptura.
