Good day all, this cerambycidae comes from South Africa, Cape.
Has no elytra and all claws bifid.
Length 9 mm. |

I will not be able to do better .... Already when the insect are in good conditions I have trouble ... then there is sport to be precise .... If however I have other ideas I do you know but densepuncticeps seems close to me? |

Thanks Jérôme, Looks very close besides the coloration of the femurs and basal part of the tibia. maybe just a color variation. |

according to the wing morphology it is a laminae probably a Phytoecia and look maybe on the side of Phytoecia (Blepisanis) densepuncticeps or near? |

Hi Claude, yes we do believe the elytra are missing, the person who caught it noted that it did not have elytra at time of capture. We are hoping that someone can give guidance based on the wing venation. |

Wow ! its' against Coleoptera definition !
It looks like a Cerambycidae in relation with the number of articles on antennae and tarsus but it can't be !
Maybe the elytrae are missing, have you accuratly checked the normal attachment point of elytrae ?
Anyway, strange for me .... |
