This specimen with spots on pronotum is identified as Apomecyna papuana, but I do not know if it is right.

I have similar spms from W-Papua should be A. papuana too, antennae are really remarkable, otherwise this sps is very similar to A. nigritarsis (with longer antennae). Benny's spms is maybe juvenile.

For me the white elytral spots are more or less regular, not like Breuning's opinion "spots are distributed irregulary ..."

This species may be Apomecyna papuana Breuning, 1943 which has antennomers 5 to 11 together shorter than antennomers 3 and 4 taken together.
