I have still not found a tribe for this species and 2 or 3 similar species. It is not Acanthocinini. Possibly new tribe, definitely new genus and new species.

Dear Dan,
I think you talk about this one, but it is a different species, regarding scapus with open scare. I do not believe it is an Acanthocinini.

I believe I posted a photo of a related species some time ago.

This species is undescribed, too. I have sent an example of my species to a colleague who was not even able to assign it to a tribe.

I have 2-4 species that are all related. They are all shiny or somewhat metallic, although this one is heavily pubescent which hides the reflection.

I have also considered it to be close to Acanthocinini.

I do not see any difference with scapus of Rondibilis species; I think it could belong to this genus.

or Desmiphorini with these short scapes

Je ne pense pas que ce soit un Disteniidae, Gérard, mais plutôt un Lamiinae (Acanthocinini ? ).
La même confusion ici. Tu devrais nettoyer cette bête .
