I should have have checked my collection more thoroughly before my last post....
This is not Thylactus mjoebergi (based on a specimen identified from Sumatra by Hudepohl) or Cyrtogrammus lateripictus (based on specimens identified from Laos by Holzschuh).
I do have a specimen of C. lateripictus from Kalimantan (Borneo). And I have a couple specimens of this species (as exactly shown above) from Sabah.
This is probably a Cyrtogrammus, but I can't tell you more. Is it C. sumatranus Franz?? Could it be new?? I will study more.
Vives and I are describing some new Lamiinae from Borneo. We have already finished the draft for 2 new Thylactus. I believe there are two more new ones. Perhaps we can also resolve the identity of the species shown here. I hope to include photographs of many Bornean Xylorhizini in our paper which should be published in 3 or 4 months. |

This is very interesting for me. I have one Cyrtogrammus from Mt. Bawang in West Kalimantan, but none from Sabah. I thought my specimen might be C. lateripictus Gressitt, 1939.
However, I have not read the description for C. sumatranus Franz, 1954. I don't have the paper, nor obviously a photo of the type. |

Yes, the exact name should be mjoebergi (= Mjöbergi), but the genus is the problem: the pronotum of Thylactus is spined at each side.
This should be a Cyrtogrammus. |

I have Thylactus mjoebergi Aurivillius, 1925 for this species...or is it mjobergi, as it is spelled on Biolib??
