Honestly I`m survey Makihara`s paper (Longicorn Beetles from Gunung Halimun National Park, West Java, Indonesia from 1997 - 2002..) and I finding something familiar accidentally Internet is great but mistakes propagation is very fast and easy too. So excuse me.
I agree with You about P. strandiella and "P. albomaculata" as absolutely different beetles. |

I believe that the image shown here :

is not related to the other species of Parasophronica shown here:
http://bezbycids.com/byciddb/wdetails.asp?id=59946&w=o
Parasophronica strandiella Breuning, 1940 is the type species of the Parasophronica.
So, in my humble opinion, I don't believe that the image of P. albomaculata is correctly identified. It is unfortunate that Larry did not include a photo of the data label and the determination label. However, it is not a stretch of the imagination to discover that Breuning put two dissimilar species in the same genus.
Max, I believe you are correct in observing that my specimen and the photo on "bezbycids.com" are similar and possibly the same species, however it still appears that Mimapatelarthron is a better choice of genus at this time. |

For me it`s Parasophronica albomaculata Breuning, 1956 with rich white pattern. |
