8mm, from North Andamans (India), with a minute spine at the pronotum side, any idea (something near to Pseudanaesthetis but to less hairy)

Yes, it seems close to Amblymoropsis papuana, but why thinking to an introduced species ? It is more probably a new species to describe.

the genus is clear Amblymoropsis Breuning, 1958, and this sps is very similar or even the same like A. papuana (Breuning, 1961), and should be introduced to the Islands consequently ?
