In my opinion this species (which actually belongs to Trichohoplorana) differs in the elytral apex and the much more dense puncturing.

I agree, but I needed your opinion before going further.

Description is ready, but I said to the editor to stop all. I need more advices :

Do I keep this species in the genus Trichohoplorana and add differential diagnose to separate Neacanista shirakii ?

According to me, your specimens might be a subspecies of Trichohoplorana shirakii (n. comb.)

j'ai publié cette nouvelle espèce sous le nom de Trichohoplorana luteomaculata Gouverneur, 2016.
La première photographie est donc celle de l'holotype mâle.

Je disais hier à Xavier à Juvisy que Trichohoplorana luteomaculata ressemble à un Acanthoderini avec ces scapes nettement renflés comme d'autres espèces attribuées à ce genre d'ailleurs (eg. T mutica).
Par contre l'espèce type T dureli a ses scapes allongés et assez progressivement épaissis, plus caractéristiques des Acanthocinini.

C.Holzschuh, dont j'ai paratypé des spécimens pour cette espèce, la plaçait apparemment dans la même tribu (Acanthocinini).
