Aucun des Ostedes ( et sous-genres) de la révision de Breuning (1977) ne correspond, et aucune espèce n'a été décrite depuis.
Un autre genre ou une espèce à décrire ? |

| la forme très particulière du pronotum me fait penser à certains Zygocerini; mais aucune espèce n'atteint l'ancienne "indochine". |

| C'est bien un Ostede sp., proche d' Ostedes serena Holzschuh, 2018 du Népal, mais sensiblement différent. Holzschuh compare son espèce à Ostedes harmandi Breuning, 1968 qui a un habitus assez différent; mais s'il n'a pas trouvé mieux, cela valide d'autant cette nouvelle espèce du Laos que je vais nommer Ostedes nongkhiawensis( de Nong Khiaw, la localité typique située dans la province de Luang Prabang). |
