This Semanotus could be a ligneus ?
I ask the question because the elytral pubescence is entirely dark. The real color is orange, not pale yellow.

Data : USA / New Mexico - Magdalena - Gallinas Mts - 27 XII 89
Size : 8.5 mm

Dominique, this one is a dark individual of Semanotus conformis Casey 1924.

Many thanks Larry, I totally agree with you, but I was not sure, I don't know the Nearctic sp of Semanotus.
I have used for the determination the review of the genus (the "Casey's conundrum") found on BugGuide.net.
