2 different species here.
Left: male of Praemallaspis rhombodera Bates, 1879.
Right: female of Praemallaspis argodi Lameere, 1909.
Both are reported from Colombia and very close to each other. The form of the pronotum immediately separes them: narrowed anteriorly towards the head (= rhombodera) or regularly rounded without constriciton (= argodi).

To confirm the difference of the pronotum shape, here a female of P.rhombodera from Panama.

I have to come back to this topic, I made an error : the spécimen on the left is a FEMALE, not a male, of P. rhombodera.
