Dear friends,

Not far from Chiang Mai, there is a wonderful place to stay for (only ) entomologists, naturalists and photographers : Punjen Hide Away.

Bungalows with 2 bedrooms, kitchen & living room are spacious, very clean, with fridge, fan, a.c. (...), for 2 x 2 peoples (or less).

The river runs into the forest at 15 m of the terrace.

223.63 KB

All around, by walk, there are trails into the forest:

But you also can rent a car.

At the restaurant, into the garden, food is...excellent!
Always fresh dishes with vegetables from local market, cooked with imagination.

After the walk,... the swimming pool !

...and then, the trap light into the garden (for free). You also can install your own light where you want.

You have understood that I love this place, and I want to share it.
For more informations, visit this page and contact Dwaila who will give you a warm welcome.

I know the place, I can confirm the assessments of Xavier, I'm going there myself for the third time in September (if national strikes so allow me).
Xavier has initiated a very interesting matter. May I suggest that all and every similar spots be shared among us ? It might involve the creation of a new section in the Forum. I remind in particular of the South African opportunity (although somewhat expensive), there are several locations in French Guyana also, and maybe others in the world. Personnally, I would be extremely interested to know whether other similar places exist in South Thailand.
