MY guess was S. rubra due to succedanea being from Japan. Several look like this one so perhaps someone else can confirm your ID. Many thanks. |

Hua (2002) wrote a lot of mistakes, e.g. Nemophas in China
Stictoleptura rubra succedanea (Lewis, 1873) is only present in Japan. In China, only Stictoleptura rubra dichroa (Blanchard, 1871) is present. Both forms are subspecies of S. rubra, since there were no long-time barriers between Eastern and Western Siberia. The subgenus Aredolpona has no value (Cf. Miroshnikov, 1998 - A new classification of longicorn beetles of the Anoplodera complex). |
