I wonder if this is a female of Ctenoscelis coeus (Perty, 1832) or C. acanthopus (Germar, 1824)? |

| OK, thank you, Francesco. To me, the punctation in the center looked confusingly fine, leaving glabrous areas on both sides of the central line. |

This is a male of Ctenoscelis coeus, the female has a narrower pronotum and a thinner 3rd antennal article. The pronotum of acanthopus is much more transverse. Here after a pair of coeus.
